BJÖRN MEIER part of the exhibition „MADE IN BERLIN“ at the BERLIN DESIGN DOME
April 16 to 21, 2008 during "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" in Milan
Björn Meier, born 1979 in Bremerhaven, Germany, follows the request of mayor Klaus Wowereit to “Be Berlin” and participates with 14 other German labels in the exhibition „MADE IN BERLIN“ at the BERLIN DESIGN DOME from 16 to 21 April 2008 during the trade fair for furniture and
interior design with exclusive touch, the international renowned "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" in Milan.

Philippson created the idea for the exhibition space
BERLIN DESIGN DOME in the form of Berlin's television tower. The tower is a creative ambassador of the city of
Berlin and will be a symbolic brand in other projects supporting the Berlin creative economy. The Berlin very vibrant design scene has developed its own momentum. |
Björn Meier graduated in Product Design Design at the Hochschule fuer Kuenste in Bremen, Germany. During his educational years he studied in diverse fields such as graphic, product and fashion. In 2005 he specialized in furniture and product and started with a year abroad at Nottingham Trent University in England. In that time he was awarded for a bathroom concept for the Italian manufacturer Jacuzzi. The last two years he organized the Profile Intermedia 8 design conference as junior executive, planned and built the lounge areas for HfK Bremen and developed a front door collection for HBK company amongst many other projects.
In 2007 he founded buero groschmeier with product designer Till Grosch.
Furthermore he is working freelance for motorberlin.com and Susanne Philippson Design.
