The store is not simply a clothes store, but art and music are important features you can find there. Starting from the opening day, 6 artworks by a street artist will be displayed inside the store. The artist is JAY ONE, born in French Guadeloupe and now living in France. He is very respected and known in the Hip Hop and graffiti/street scene, not only in Europe but all over the world. He had partnerships with important companies creating different items from T-shirts to CDís and records covers. His art is a strong communication tool to reach different publics and to ìenlightenî the masses. The artworks he created for 55DSL refers to the Fall Winter collection concept ìRevolution Starts at Homeî, in order to have a stronger link between street art and 55DSL. Also from the artist are the graphics for the opening invitation card and T-shirts. Jay One will perform live painting in the garage in the opening day, so that all customers would enjoy and appreciate the artistís creativity. The artworks will be displayed in the store during a couple of months. For this reason during that period the artists will be 55DSL homeís guest, and the bedroom will be decorated as if it was Jayís own, with his books, CDs and toys to make him feel at home. DJ Void from UK will play the party in the playroom, and in the same room a TV set and Playstation are available for guests. In the store you can now buy the Fall Winter ë02/í03 Collection, ìRevolution Starts at Homeî, both for boy and girls.
