Female air fashion

In February 2010, the Swiss watchmaker Bell & Ross announced its sponsoring partnership of the celebration of 100 years women's pilot license from 6 to 7 March 2010 at the Museum of Air Craft, Le Musée de l’Air.

A fashion show with the uniforms of the flight personnel will remember the most beautiful collaborations between fashion designers and airline companies as well as the times that women had no chance to navigate airplanes but to serve the passengers. Many companies haven't allowed women to work as a pilot.

On 8th March 1910, the French balloonist Raymonde De Laroche (1886 – 1919), was the first woman to earn a pilot license worldwide. "However, women pilots still represent less than 7% of the total pilot population in most countries," states centennialofwomenpilots.com/ in a text about its activities around this day in March 2010.

From 6 to 7 March, approximately 200 women from the private, professional, civil and military sector will come with their own plane and land on the runway of le Bourget. For women who prefer to walk on the runway, the Museum is searching on www.mae.org for models who present the uniforms in March 2010.
