Saturday Midday Shopping
On 20 November 2010, I was on my Saturday Midday Shopping Tour in Vienna searching for some things I have found online or tested at a professional press event, when a merchant in a beauty store answered my question why a cream has at her shop a better price than in others: "Because we think that every household should have one."
The reason for this Beauty Insight is not only that I want to publish this nice statement; it's a necessity for me to write about some experiences that I have made with the cream.
The cream's name is 'Eight Hour'. It's the legendary product (created in 1930) by Elizabeth Arden, who was a pioneer in the beauty business.
fig.: I am holding the bespoken Elizabeth Arden 'Eight Hour' in a limited edition packaging.
Several months before the meeting with the woman who spread the social ideas of 'beauty for every household', I had the 'first contact' with the cream at a press event; when I applied it, I thought that it is such an 'uncreamy' cream with its thick consistence that it will not become one of my favorites - but the effect on the skin was surprisingly positive. Probably, Elizabeth Arden's 'Eight Hour' care is not for every day, but if the skin is irritated because of cold weather or sunburn, or very stressed like after a peeling, then it's great.
If you are penny-wise like me, you will love the cream with a special price even better!
PS: The nice statement was made by a shopwoman at Douglas on the Kärtnerstrasse in Vienna.
