Multimedia artist inspired by a Hollywood movie about jugglers
From 21 March to 30 April 2011, the creative-research center EMPAC (New York, founded by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) for digital media production presents the multimedia installation (film, audio) 'The Confidence Man' by New York based artist Graham Parker who was inspired by his research on hacked cash machines (ATM machines), WIFI networks, monologues from spam emails, and the film 'The Sting' (watch the poker card scene below).
In the first three weeks, Graham Parker will use the exhibition space as his studio for the further transformation of his installation. The artist is available for conversations with the public by appointment empac.rpi.edu/events/2011/spring/parker/.
