#Dance performance about memories, #photography, #music at ImpulsTanz Festival #Vienna (extended to 18 August)
The ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna presents today and on the next days (6,7,8 August at MuseumsQuartier) the performance 'booty Looting' about individual and collective memories made by pictures. 'booty Looting' is a production by the dance company Ultima Vez and the Belgian choreographer, filmmaker, photographer Wim Vandekeybus who states "Photos create or distort memories." The dance company (founded by Wim Vandekeybus) references on impulstanz.com Marcel Proust who worked about the dynamic of 'memory' which causes that it never stays the same and music which has similar effects on memory like photos. Rock photographer Danny Willems' live-shooting of the dancers/actors will be projected onto the stage during the performance.
This year the festival has extended its program from 12th to 18th August and will show additional performances of Kresnik's 'Francis Bacon' with Ismael Ivo.
