Today is the last day of the menswear shows in Milan, tomorrow will start the Berlin Fashion Week and Paris Men's Fashion. Between these events and the London Fashion Week, designers present their new collection in cities like Madrid and Stockholm. The international fashion circus continues its route in New York before it arrives in London on 17 February. (List of Fashion Weeks below.)
The schedules for exhibitions and shows in London are already fixed. Fashionoffice selected three events of fashion supporting disciplines: accessories, hair, hats.
Like the presentation of accessories artist/designer Fred Butler on 20 February 2012 at the The Portico Rooms, Somerset House with an exclusive performance by Charli XCX.
Video: The video shows a bike by 'Super Ted' styled up by Fred Butler for a charity project of musician Shingai Shoniwa (trio 'The Noisettes'). Fred Butler creates wearable sculptures and cooperates with labels like Samsung, Nike, Diesel, Swatch... to name a few.
Or the exhibition at the Somerset House (throughout Fashion Week) with works by the hair dresser and master of Haute Coiffure Charlie Le Mindu who styles hairs of musicians like Lady Gaga or Peaches, appears with his creations in magazines like Vogue Hommes Japan or i-D, and has been exhibited at V&A Museum in London and at the Fondation Cartier in Paris. The hair artist welcomes the users on his website with an extraordinary SS2012 catwalk presentation charlielemindu.com.
Charlie Le Mindu will be presented together with Piers Atkinson who publishes on his website the hat creations for SS2012 which are following the theme 'Hot Voodoo' in tropical jungle style from easy to wear hats to head sculptures like an encrusted hyper-hopper. Some of the hats are entitled with names such as the blooming orchids creation with 'Tropicana Apocalyptica' or a filigree net sculpture in leaf green is named 'Handle with Care'.
