Multimedia artist Pipilotti Rist is member of the jury of the collaborative film project 'The Global Skin' about fashion and the environment
Swiss multimedia, video artist Pipilotti Rist sees art as a chance to make aware of social issues like inequality. She is member of the jury of the collaborative film project 'The Global Skin'. Filmmakers, documentarians, artists are invited to send their films about the subject 'textile fabrics' such as portraits of workers and consumers of fashion - from the field worker to the fashion victim everything what makes aware of sustainability in the textile production and consumption chain.
"The textile industry is one of the oldest branches of the production industry. In view of the number of people employed and overall turnover, it is one of the most important economic sectors in the world." is the project explained on the website of The Global Skin.
