#Music video 'You Can't Be My Girl' by Darwin Deez, directed by Keith Schofield (single release on 9 April, Lucky Number Music)
The new video for Darwin Deez' 'You Can't Be My Girl' was directed by Los Angeles-based commercial (K-Swiss, Sony, MTV...) and music video maker (Charlotte Gainsbourg & Beck, Justice...), Cannes Gold Lion winner (for Diesel) Keith Schofield. Darwin Deez appears in the beginning of the video between the happy life and proper family scenes which were collected by Keith Schofield from stock footage; later, the style of the video changes with the raw guitar sequence of the music. The story of the funny video is about a man who seems to be his whole life in doubt if he has met the 'right' one. The video is introduced as "...a parody of "found footage" (Tumblr videos) where the videos are nothing but an endless series of hipster, or supposedly cool and interesting, imagery."
Darwin Deez is currently on tour in Germany: 20 February in Cologne, 21 Feb in Hamburg, 22 Feb Berlin. On 28 February, the US tour starts in Denver. Tour dates on darwindeez.com.
The song 'You Can't Be My Girl' is from the album 'Songs For Imaginative People' (8 Feb 2013) and will be released as single on 9 April via Lucky Number Music.
