I followed the invitation to the presentation and photo shooting of the new outdoor furniture 'Low Collection' by the Austrian label Viteo on the roof top of Hotel Sans Souci with panorama view over Vienna.
The South-Styria based company Viteo collaborates since this year with the newly founded design firm 13&9. The 'Low Collection' pieces are the first products of this team work.
fig. original: The photo shows Anastasia Su on 12 June 2013 on the roof top of Hotel Sans Souci in Vienna. Anastasia Su is one part of the team 13&9. The number '13' is quasi her number; it marks the age when she made her first dress. Today, Anastasia Su is medic (Dr. med) and continues her interest in fashion and lifestyle objects by combining it with her knowledge of the body. The chairs and chaise longues of the 'Low Collection' are products of her interdisciplinary view on ergonomic design. I talked with Anastasia Su about her approach to the design of fashion and jewellery which follows beneath the aspect of functionality (keyword 'body') the esthetical concept of geometry. While journalists 'tested' the sitting objects (just like I did - image), photographer Bernhard Schramm used the sun light and panorama view to take pictures from the collection and the creative minds behind: left on the photo Anastasia Su from 13&9; image right, Wolfgang Pichler, founder Viteo. The first photo shows Anastasia Su and Wolfgang Pichler; the image in the middle provides insights into the photo shooting at Hotel Sans Souci's penthouse with pieces from the 'Low Collection'. The last image on this page depicts the panoramic view from the roof top with Viteo chairs and lounges in front, and behind the Naturhistorisches (left) and Kunsthistorisches Museum (the two buildings with cupolas, the houses look like mirrored).
