Austria insight into culture, shipping, music, culinary, art: Fashion.at visited the 'city at the lake' Gmunden in the Salzkammergut, European Capital of Culture 2024 Fashion.at visited Gmunden in Upper Austria in the Salzkammergut. The region is famous for its mountain-lake landscapes and a cultural history which can be traced back over thousands of years. The 'Salz'kammergut references 'salt' in its name. The village Hallstatt with its ancient salt mine is the worldwide reference for living worlds of prehistoric times known as Hallstatt Culture. Hallstatt as well as Gmunden (the city is strongly associated with ceramic production) are two of more than twenty municipalities around the city Bad Ischl which will form the European Capital of Culture in 2024. Fashion.at was in short words in one of Austria's most interesting regions where nature and culture play together since thousands of years. Alongside salt, the region has selected water as a focus point for discussing topics like tradition & counter-culture, (hyper)tourism & retreat. Currently, the call for projects is ongoing...

View on Vienna from dog owner perspective, inclusively a dog friendly hotel offer seen at Max Brown Recently, since the lockdown ended in Austria, the 'Max Brown 7th District' presented the current offer with 25% off price and the call for dog owners to bring their pet. The special invitation has nothing to do with the fact that Vienna is a dog friendly city and has a wide range of spaces where the animals can run freely. Dogs can be brought to every Max Brown hotel - in Berlin, Amsterdam or Düsseldorf. To provide a short insight into dog-related circumstances and opportunities in Vienna: According to the official statistics, around 55,100 dogs are currently registered in Vienna; calculated on the number of inhabitants of the city, for every 33 Viennese there is one dog. More than 195 dog areas with in sum over 1 million square meters are available throughout the city. There are a few rules which center around the dog's behaviour...

Austria Insight: Preview of the sports (fitness, dance, yoga, football,...) programme of the initiative 'Bewegt im Park' (Moving in the Park) The printed programme shows courses in Vienna in the order of the 23 districts of the city. The first is a dance course starting on the first day of the 'Bewegt im Park' project on 14 June from 17.00 to 18.00 at the Stadtpark in the 1st district. Four dance courses are scheduled at the popular park. Other districts have a more diverse offer such as the 2nd district where football, karate, tai chi, yoga, ultimate frisbee or healthy back courses are announced. Well, it's not said that only home districts can be chosen. Generally, the participation concept is very relaxed. 'Bewegt im Park' events can be accessed without former registration. The aim of the initiative is to create opportunities for physical activities in the open air. The programme lists no competitions. Perhaps the dance classes will provide performance shows...
