POLO RALPH LAUREN 2008
On 7 April 2008 the United States Olympic Committee and Polo Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) announced an agreement designating Polo Ralph Lauren as an Official Outfitter of the 2008 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games which will be held from 8 to 24 August 2008.

As our athletes take to this world stage they are representing the best of America and we are proud to be a part of that,” said David Lauren, Senior Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications for Polo Ralph Lauren.
Polo Ralph Lauren designs the official Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony Parade Outfits for the U.S. Teams, in addition to an assortment of village wear pieces (such as on the image right). On 8 August 2008 the Official Opening Ceremony Parade Outfits will be shown for the first time to the public eyes (around 4 billion viewers!!!) during the Opening Ceremony in Beijing.
Opening Ceremony Parade Outfits: Polo Ralph Lauren recalls in his collection the history of the Olympic Games and translates it into an elegant and contemporary re-interpretation of the 1920s and 1930s style with a tailored and modern silhouette.
Closing Ceremony Parade Outfits: the outfits will reflect this years games and present the sports women and men in a sportier style than the opening outfits have.
The collection will be available in June in Polo Ralph Lauren retail stores, select department stores, RalphLauren.com, and you can find selected items on www.usolympicteam.com.
