The Mille Miglia Mechanician-Look

Milano based C.P. Company (founded 1975) created the new fall/winter 2009/10 men's collection under the theme 'A world in transition' expressed by jackets made of artful rubberized and dyed materials. One of the company's lines is named 'Mille Miglia' and honors the historical Italian car race.

Good design traces to the past

The theme is about values of authenticity and durable things which are developed from the re-interpretation of daily 'objects' as transformations of past experiences into our contemporary life.

Men's wear research

The collections of C.P. Company are created after a research process with the main focus on the roots of the male wardrobe under the aspect function and use. Many of the values which are still favored in men's style can be found in traditional military uniforms and working clothes: they represent status of the wearer and wearability in extreme situations.

Video: The official trailer 'Mille Miglia - The Film. The Spirit of a Legend', directed by Philip Selkirk. The movie premiered in May 2007 in Brescia, the home of the Mille Miglia. The soundtrack for this 90-minute film was contributed by the music label Phazz-a-delic ('De-phazz'). In 2007 the world’s legendary car race celebrated 80th anniversary with participants from the aristocratic, industrial, financial and high-society circles. Experimenting with Fabrics

Additional to costume research, C.P. Company experiments in the transformation and creation of old/new material. The company holds over 60,000 dye formulas and develops new methods in printing, rubberizing, coating, flocking ... by using any type of raw material.
