Styles for Alpine regions and metropolitan cities
...seen on 18 June 2014 at the new Spring/Summer 2015 collection by the Austrian shirtmaker Gloriette (founded 1886 in Vienna). Currently, the label presents the collection which consists of three styles - 'Tracht', 'Alpin' and 'Urban', at Pitti Uomo (until 20 June) in Florence.
The 'Tracht' line for example references with staghorn buttons, vichy patterns (small checks - photo right) and other details which are known from the rural clothing (called 'tracht') of mountain regions in Central Europe. 'Alpin' differs not so much from the 'Tracht'-line as it combines the region's lifestyle (lifestyle is always a product of the cultural environment and natural surrounding - keyword 'tracht') and zeitgeist of today's globalized society. Gloriette's view on contemporary Alpine lifestyle resulted in the design of shirts and blouses in casual look. The pieces can be combined with jeans as well as - such as on the photo below, with traditional 'tracht' leather shorts (called in Austria 'Krachlederne').
