A wave in an angry hand
...seen in mid-March 2014 at the collaborative collection by Levi's and illustrator Jim Phillips for Spring/Summer 2014. Jim Phillips worked during the 1970s as art director for Santa Cruz Skateboards and influenced the visual culture of the scene. The prints used by Levi's vibrate Californian board culture with chill-out and dark rock motifs. The hand with wave (image on this page) has a sea god 'Poseidon'-appeal; Poseidon is the one from Greek mythology who 'shakes' the ocean and earth (earthquakes).
