Winter mountain outlook 2015/16

In mid-December 2014, the ski and snow sport season has already started in many regions in Central Europe (Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland); the 20th December is the date with the highest rate of scheduled openings (according to the December country lists on Schneehöhen.de.) While some of the Central Europeans are still waiting to start snow sport activities, previews of new collections FW15/16 are dropping into the mailbox of Fashionoffice such as next year's trends by South-Tyrolean label Luis Trenker with photos that were shot at the end of November in the landscape of Iceland (behind the scene photos on Facebook).

The 'Luis Trenker Berg' FW 2015 men's and women's wear items weren't developed explicitly for snow sports men and women or for skiers; the collection is designed for mountain ('Berg') and nature enthusiasts in general and is wearable in an urban environment as well.

Highlights (seen at the first provided images) of the new collection are combinations of materials and colors such as on view here on this page: vintage wool herringbone fabrics in grey are mixed in one piece with nylon-like textiles in sporty muted orange and rose; it's like a meeting of traditional mountain wear and nowadays super-functional high-tech clothing. For the collection, Luis Trenker works with textiles by labels like Schoeller Softshell and Loden Steiner.
