Making of Ioana Ciolacu's 'Hunters' pre-collection for Peek & Cloppenburg

Peek & Cloppenburg sent some backstage photos of the making of the Capsule Collection by the winner of the fashion department store chain's designer contest 'Designer for Tomorrow 2013' Ioana Ciolacu. The images show the Romanian in London educated and living designer during her work on patterns, her sketches of the textiles prints and fashion illustrations (such as the one of a jacket with bird print and feathers on sleeves), the selection of patterns and prints together with Jury Board Member John Cloppenburg and the P&C design team, there are product images of the collection and even photos such as the one on this page where she sits on the floor thoughtfully looking at the fashion puzzles before it is put together as blousons, sweaters and t-shirts.

The Capsule Collection by Ioana Ciolacu will be available exclusively at Peek & Cloppenburg's fashion houses in Vienna from 7 July 2014 on before the main collection 'Hunters' will be presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.

Ioana Ciolacu's sport inspired pieces with exotic prints were selected by the jury for the DfT award 2013 under the patronage of UK designer Stella McCartney. Recently on 8 May, Peek & Cloppenburg announced that Tommy Hilfiger - the ambassador of the American 'preppy'-style, will be this year's patron and will share his know-how with the participants of the 'Designer for Tomorrow 2014' project.
