Luxury tights

...seen today at Wolford's fashion brunch on occasion of the preview of the Fall/Winter 2014/15 collection at a loft in Vienna. Already at the entrance, the main theme 'Art Deco' in seductive re-interpretation was exposed with mannequins in the knitter's signature bodies and tights with geometrical diamond patterns in the style of the design movement Art Deco which started in the 20ies and combined glamour and technological progress. Highlights of Wolford's collection are the 'Pure 50 Tights' with invisible seams (they are glued) and jewellery tights with Swarovski crystals and metallic ornaments (picture below). The tights with glued seams are the latest innovation of the label which became internationally famous for new knit-technologies as well as collaborations with fashion labels like Vivienne Westwood, Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, artists such as Peter Kogler or designer Philippe Starck (the StarckNaked dress is part of the V&A collection).

Recently, Wolford contributed the outfits to Kylie Minogue's video 'Sexercize' (released online on 19 March and counted today more than 4.6 million views). It shows the musician in 'Berlin Body' and 'Twenties Tights' by Wolford - the outfit looks similar like the one on the first mannequin (picture above), only that Kylie wears red high heels during her exercises in a gym which is filled with sweat and steam.
