10 August 2015 Jockey's first Wiesn' shorts for women If anybody thinks that the fashion pieces and the presentation of the tradition of the beer festival Oktoberfest and the annual field parties (Wiesn' Fest) in September and October stay the same hasn't observed the latest collections closely. Fashionoffice reported recently about a campaign which depicted a couple playing with gender roles. Today, US label Jockey sent some images of this year's special 'Wiesn' collection of underwear pieces for Oktoberfest 2015. For the first time, Jockey presents Wiesn' underwear for women. The design is derived from the classical leather trachten trousers of men. It's the fifth year that Jockey designs underwear especially for Octoberfest and Wiesn' parties. The first 'Original Jockey Wiesn' Boxer' for men hit the market successfully. In the meanwhile, the special editions are sold across Europe as well as in US and Australia. Since the release of the first women's loungewear in autumn 2014, Jockey delivers also women's underwear in Europe. fig. right: The Original Jockey Wiesn' Shorts (on view at the image right) is the first special Wiesn' edition for women. The cotton underwear shorts with small red/white check print references the Bavarian origin of the Octoberfest with motifs known from tracht leather shorts such as a heart, mountain flowers and buttons in deer horn optic. fig. below: This year's special for men are boxers (below) and trunks in navy blue with white all-over prints of typical beer festival symbols like pretzels, beer mugs and beer glasses. |
