Google's 'Jacquard' textile device used at the new Levi's trucker jacket designed for urban cyclists

On 20 May at the Google I/O conference, the jeans pioneer and the technology innovator presented the 'Levi's® Commuter™ x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket' which will be available from spring 2017. The 'Jacquard'-technology is woven into the textile (image below left shows the jacquard pattern made of the conductive threads woven with denim) for interactivity by touching, pressing or simply by positioning the hand nearby the fabric-device. The tag at the left sleeve (image) enables the connection with the phone and its additional features like music streaming or navigation support.

The jacket is from Levi's special collection 'Commuter' which is dedicated to urban cycling; the fabric is equipped with stretch yarns, light reflector details, and made of thermoregulating, water and odor resistant materials.
