Preview of alpine lifestyle shoe collection developed in collaboration between fashion designer Lena Hoschek and Dachstein shoe designer Christoph Döttelmayer

From August, the collection 'Lena Hoschek & Dachstein' consisting of five models will be available. Today, the first preview images of the shoes inspired by mountaineering and alpine lifestyle were released such as the two on view below showing a shoe model and the styling with a dress (dirndl re-interpretation) from the Lena Hoschek 'Tradition' Fall/Winter 2018/19 collection.

Below, left: 'Alma' in earthy brown from the 'Lena Hoschek & Dachstein' collection is - like the other models, inspired by traditional Austrian alps culture and shows the most puristic design of a classical mountaineering boot. Applied is a (hiking-)badge with mountaineer symbols which seem to tell the story of climbing to the heights of the glaciers of the Austrian mountain range 'Dachstein' (highest peak 2.995 meters): The red mountain roses grow approximately until (ca. 2.000 meters) an altitude where the flower edelweiss (from around 1.800 meters) can be found. Behind the flowers, two ice-picks are on show.

Below, right: The shoe models are designed by Lena Hoschek with FW2018/19 items of her label's 'Tradition'-line in mind and dedicated to sports activities like hiking as well as to social events such as the beer festival 'Oktoberfest'. The image shows the 'Alma' boots in combination with the dress 'Gretl - Sonnalm' which pays homage to a so-called 'Sonnalm' (could be translated as 'Sun Alp'), an alp which is located at the sunny side of the mountain and provides a great view over the region.
