17 September 2019 From 26 September, the new H&M Conscious Exclusive Autumn/Winter 2019 collection with items made from environmentally friendly and recycled materials will be available. The cocktail and evening wear is accompanied by overknee boots & bag, jewelry and accessories like hair pins. For the first time part of the Conscious collection are the materials recycled brass, recycled zinc and TENCEL™ X REFIBRA™ (Lyocell fibers mixed with upcycled cotton waste from for example garment production). The collection is inspired by mask balls and festivities of the 1960s. The aspect of sustainability was also a criterium for the creation of the styles such as H&M designer Ella Soccorsi points out (source): fig.: Campaign image of H&M Conscious Exclusive Autumn/Winter 2019; available from 26 September 2019. Left: The sequin top is made of recycled polyester. It shows the signature black/white harlequin pattern of the collection which is inspired by mask balls; some might think of Venetian festivities. Right: The cape, worn over a pleated volant dress, is partly made of recycled glass beads. |
