4 July 2019 Yesterday at Berlin Fashion Week, Austrian label Lena Hoschek presented the Spring/Summer 2020 'Season of the Witch' ready-to-wear, couture and lingerie. Soon after the show happened at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week runway at ewerk, media such as Vogue Germany or the Austrian daily news paper Der Standard published insights into the event and the inspirations behind Lena Hoschek SS2020 such as about the music selection (especially named is Soap & Skin's cover of the blues song 'Me and the Devil'), the lingerie collaboration between Lena Hoschek and Atelier Bordelle or the designer's dedication to sustainability in fashion, strategies such as reducing commonly in the industry used packaging, plastics and the concept of designing long lasting fashion with regard to material as well as the cut. One of the main topics at the referenced articles are citations of the Victorian period through illustrations by Kelly Louise Judd. fig.: A model walks the runway at the Lena Hoschek show during the Berlin Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 at ewerk on 3 July 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The hand - here presented as glove (perhaps the glove of a gardener?), is an important motif at the collection. "Fascinated by the mystical demimonde, and with a magical touch, the hand becomes a symbol reflecting back an intimate connection to nature," introduces label Lena Hoschek at the press release into the thrilling composition of 'Season of the Witch'. |
