Babette's calls spice configurator masters to a competition
This summer, Vienna-based spice & cook books store Babette's opened a new spice manufactory (article) and launched a re-designed website.

Now, Babette's calls spice masters. The ones who mix virtually their own composition between 15 September and 15 October take part in the competition. A jury - announced are professionals, will decide which spice mix is the most 'thrilling'. There is no closer description of what is meant with 'thrilling' but there are enough ingredients (more than 70) available for mixing a luxurious blend for perhaps an extraordinary vegetable soup. The configurator is programmed for up to 12 ingredients (different grindings, roasted or not roasted) for the filling of one package or can. At the end of the configurator process, the label designer offers the choice between various colors and a text field where the name of the composition can be entered such as on view at the image ('Sexbomb' for a sort of aphrodisiac). In the case of a spice mix for a regional vegetable soup (for the whole family), the name could be simply 'Vegetable Soup'.
