He won the Most Original Collection as well as the 2nd Runner’s up award in this competition. This recognition held to a job offer from the editor of the French Vogue to join them as a stylist. Manish declined and stayed on in India to launch the label “Manish Arora” in 1997. He was awarded the best Women’s Prêt Designer at the first ever Indian Fashion Awards’2004 held in Bombay.
