Collier Schorr's Formula 1 inspired fashion film for Mercedes-Benz

Today, Mercedes-Benz uploaded the new Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign fashion film 'Champions of Fashion' with Mercedes Formula One drivers, world champion Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, together with model and actress Dree Hemingway in a Bond like setting. Director of the film is artist, photographer, filmmaker Collier Schorr who is known for explorations of gender roles. The outfits of the protagonists change with their roles. It starts with Hamilton and Rosberg in elegant tuxedos while Hemingway in her racing suit just comes back from the training. The three are changing their outfits - Hemingway slips into a black dress while the Formula One drivers prepare for the race in the new Mercedes-AMG GT and the iconic 1970s C111. When the competition starts with Hemingway in the role of the flag lifter, the wind tunnel at the car maker's plant in Sindelfingen appears like a time machine. The short movie ends with Hemingway in the iconic 1970s race car wearing her sports suit again - sitting on the driver's seat.
