Re-listen: 'Another Green World' by Brian Eno
In September 2010, I talked with an old friend from school days about music and that many of the albums from the 70s, 80s should be made heard more often. This old friend appears in the Viennese club scene on several nights through the year as DJ and his guests are exhilarated about good music they don't know. Being 'DJ' is not his main profession - he is working in a very 'dusty' business which begins when the musicians are more than 100 years dead. But he doesn't go so far back in times as a DJ.
He really has a good music taste and introduced me to Bonny Prince Billy, Beirut Music, or Antony and the Johnsons at first in the 2000s. But as far as I remember, 'Another Green World' by Brian Eno was an album that I have brought to his music universe first in the 1980s - and he still enjoys it.
