Somnabule electro-RnB by Forest Swords
In November 2010, the Fashionoffice search for new music led to the track review 'True Loves' on Pitchfork.com where even the track and video 'Rattling Cage' by the one man Liverpool (UK) based project 'Forest Swords' is listed.
The video 'Rattling Cage' by Forest Swords - touched in yellowed mid 1960s images, shows a little boy who is keen on making music; the camera follows him to school and into the classroom. At first, the boy looks as if he has his own imagination of music...
The video fits well to the current discussions which are on in Austria. One of the questions is, if the expensive education of young people is necessary. They are spending years of their lives without gaining any money, without any chance to foresight when they are old, and get therefore qualifications which are not necessarily bonded to the formation in schools or universities. In music or fashion - always the same question: Is there any professional education necessary? Wide circles with practical know-how in fashion in Austria, say no. Probably the opinion of leading fashion circles is for many young people (and especially their paying parents) the most serious argument to invest into a study, or not.
