MKG Hamburg exhibition 'Dressed' follows role models, pioneers for telling the story of 200 years of fashion and emancipation The arts and crafts museum MKG Hamburg presented the programme 2022 with previews of exhibitions such as 'Dressed' about fashion and social changes over 200 years. For the exploration of society and especially the role of women, MKG uses as 'red thread' clothing and accessories worn by extraordinary women, role models in their times from the early 19th century until nowadays. Austrian company Neubau Eyewear received German Design Award 2022 for the sustainable design of the special sunglasses edition 'Lotte & Hans' The German Design Council presented the German Design Award 2022 winners in the categories Excellent Communication, Product Design and Excellent Architecture. It's the 10th anniversary of the German Design Awards honoring projects, products, architecture, companies which are representing new design strategies as answers of existing and upcoming challenges for a better future. Austria Insights: Preview of the concept of the costume designs for Verdi's opera 'Nabucco' at the Oper im Steinbruch in Burgenland (13 July until 14 August 2022)
In the week before the full lockdown is starting on Monday, 22nd November in Austria, the 'Opera in the Quarry' (Oper im Steinbruch) provided insights into the preparations for next year's production, the freedom opera 'Nabucco' by Guiseppe Verdi (1842). Daniel Serafin, Artistic Director of the Oper im Steinbruch, cooperates for the realisation of 'Nabucco' with an international team of specialists of opera and arena productions. The name of director Francisco Negrin is known from opera, arena, stadium productions - and fashion such as the Louis Vuitton Fall 2020/21 show. Fashion.at visited the Austrian Press Days where new and upcoming fashion, beauty and culinary products were presented: Bakery Öfferl opened online coffee shop with focus on sustainable products Fashion.at met Öfferl's Director of Coffee, Martin Wölfl who recently won the 'Brewers Cup' at the Austrian Coffee Championships 2021. The competition foresees that baristas prepare coffee at first with a given product. In a second round, the participants of the challenge can choose individually a product for the preparation of coffee. The jury selected the coffee by Martin Wölfl who used for the 'Brewers Cup'...
