How fashion gets inspired by espionage activities

"Flight Recorder Open" is probably one of the most entertaining writings on a fashion image in context with spying at the end of this year which was (almost action-)packed with thrilling stories from United States' NSA and other countries' secret service activities and flights around the world with not only one airport stop which kept the world in suspense. The photos were sent by watchmaker Bell & Ross together with information about the legendary espionage airplane Lockheed SR-71 'Blackbird' (first flights in the early 60ies) which inspired the design of the new vintage watch 'BR 126 Blackbird' with easy to read clock-face, minute recorder with flyback-function (optimizes the speed of measuring several times in a row), and with black or orange strap - two colors which are inspired by the visual culture of flying and the design of cockpits.

It is announced that the BR 126 Blackbird watch will come into stores and Bell & Ross' e-boutique in limited edition (500 pieces) this month in October.
