Preview shoe trends 2014

In December 2013, the European shoe label and store chain Salamander sent the first preview images of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 range. Fashionoffice selected one of the key trends: art-like designs of boots, bags and pumps such as on view on this page.

The print on the Just Cavalli ankle boot makes think of psychedelic late 19th century nature and flower illustrations from Aubrey Beardsley's Victorian time. The heel is covered with Just Cavalli's signature wild animal pattern (this time cat and not snake); phantastic shoes in wild romantic, grotesque erotic style.

The shopping bag by Gabs shows a photo print of red lips applied in front of a collage of different pictures which are only partly on view such as red flowers; additionally, the pictures are over-colored with watery blue - the collage is motivating the viewer to use the own phantasy.

The red, metallic gold pumps with sculptural black heel by United Nude are like shoes of a flapper girl-cartoon with the temperament of Olive Oyl (comic strip 'Popeye The Sailor') after she spoke out her opinion by literally 'pressing' her claim.
