Austrian ski athletes' anti-authoritarian outfit style
...for leisure time, seen in early November 2013 on photos from the presentation of the new clothing which is provided by Schöffel for the winter sport season 2013/14.
The Austrian ski team of the ÖSV - Österreichischer Skiverband (Austrian Ski Association) presented the new clothing items at Vienna's (currently main-)railway station Westbahnhof. At the first view, the concept of the outfits appears to follow the comfortable Alpine mountain lodge style with knit vests, colorful checked shirts, fleece jackets, caps, and weekender bag. On the image right, Nicole Hosp wears a white/grey hoodie, Andrea Fischbacher's choice is a grey herringbone down jacket over lightning blue/white/signal red checked shirt, and Matthias Lanzinger selected a knit vest and combined it with dark blue/deep red/white checked shirt.
The items for leisure time can be chosen by the athletes after their own personal taste from Schöffel's collection. As soon as it comes to active wear for training and competitions, the team spirit is expressed with gender-neutral visual designs such as for the black race suits with red stripes on white (tribute to the Austrian red-white-red flag) and snow crystal alike pattern on the sides (on the picture below, two of the athletes wear additional knee length trousers and gilet over the race suit).
