Cycling tour with eyewear 2014 trend stop in Vienna
Yesterday, I visited an Art-Design Talk at hotel Sofitel; today, I took my bike and cycled through the Prater forest to follow the invitation by United Optics to the Style & Trends 2014 press event at a place I know very well; hotel Palais Coburg (photo below) is nearby the gymnasium I once attended ('gymnasium' is in Austria an 8-years long grammar school after primary school). I can remember that this building behind the fence always awakened my fantasies about a mysterious garden. Today, I was behind the fence and went through hundreds of sunglasses and optical eyewear models that almost prospered like flower decorations in pastel colors, in muted tones, in silver and gold - some looked fresh and sporty, others very distinguished and elegant. The items carried names like
Dolce&Gabbana, Ray Ban, Armani, Prada,
Calvin Klein, Silhouette, Esprit, to name only few of the labels presented by the chain of independent opticians which are collaborating for events like today's Style & Trends 2014 press brunch under the name United Optics. At one of the tables, people played with little Formula 1 racing cars; it was the table of Red
Bull Racing eyewear which is promoted currently by F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel - his life-size carton representer stood among the car-gamers.
