  • Memorized data gain more attention
    The 'Memorized Data'-hypothesis is approved by observing data traffic from the Fashionoffice domains during the last 6 months: by comparing the high ranking pages (statistics delivered by www.google.com/analytics) from July, August, September, October, November and December 2009, Fashionoffice demonstrates that the ‘memorized’ articles from former years gain more attention by the internet and its users than most current content. And this despite the fact that new content is massively promoted on RSS Feeds, Mobile Sites, Trendletters, editorial teasers in the advertising slots, as well as through online and offline advertising.   • 6 months intense promotion for new articles
    Solely the inventory pages (these are the pages that run with more than 90% teasers for new articles on Fashionoffice) had been delivered 798.000 times/month (Quantcast). In these numbers (>90% of 798.000 in 1 month) the contacts through RSS Feeds, Trendletters, Mobile Site and advertising on exterior media (on- and offline) are not included.

    In numbers: more than 4,8 millions promotional contacts for new Fashionoffice articles during July to December 2009 haven't changed the monthly statistics delivered by Google Analytics for high ranking pages. The most read articles on Fashionoffice tracked by Google Analytics are constantly over the last half year the same (with one exception: an article about Wolford from the year 2006 becomes increasingly visible in the top-ranking since November):

  • Reliability of the data: Fashionoffice’s technological premises are common practise
    From the start (early 2006) and through the years of monitoring traffic and its effects on rankings in search engines by using measurements of third-parties (Google, MSN, Alexa…), Fashionoffice has checked constantly together with official authorities for internet security and administration the reliability of the data delivered by the server of Fashionoffice.org. The significant expansion of user traffic from Pakistan on the domain fashion.at was reported as suspected domain abuse on 30 October 2009 to Globat.com (Hosting Provider), Nic.at (Austrian Registry), and CERT.at (Computer Emergency Response Team Austria). The domain fashion.at was free of abuse. CERT mentioned some reasons for the expansion of traffic from Pakistan.
