'With Factor X to Reality'
...is the title of the 'Annual Multimedia 2011' article about Fashionoffice's research project on 'Memorized Data' and the effects on the construction of reality. The research was made on URLs and data sources that are constantly since 1996 online and daily enriched with new content. The study began in 2006 and ended with the last tests in early 2010. "Probably the article will wind up some folks because 'Memorized Data' can have good and negative effects on publishers and advertisers; but we can't please everybody. Sometimes it is more necessary to publish research results than to court for personal sympathies." Dr. Karin Sawetz, publisher Fashionoffice.org.

Fashionoffice received the hyperlink to the live footage video of the new track 'Everybody’s Under Your Spell' by the Londoner band The Duke Spirit. The song can be downloaded on www.thedukespirit.com. The Duke Spirit (singer Liela Moss, Luke Ford and Toby Butler - guitars, Marc Sallis - bass, Olly Betts - drums) are know for their 'fashion'-appearances like in a campaign for DocMartens or on the stage at the most recent fashion show of Y-3 Adidas SS2011. On 4 November, the band will play at a private event for Levi’s. The Duke Spirit will perform new songs on stage in New York and LA in the coming weeks.

The future of our digital memory
On 4 and 5 November 2010, artists and scientists speak at the international symposium 'The Digital Oblivion. Substance and ethics in the conservation of computer-based art' at the ZKM, Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, about our consciousness of time and history, our image of ourselves and the world in times of digitalised memories. They are focusing especially on the preservation of computer-based art: "Should standards of best practice be developed for the conservation and collection of digital media art?"
